Position Overview
Our one-year Pupillage Programme provides hands-on experience, exposure to various practice areas, and an in-depth understanding of legal practice in Kenya and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal research for cases in court and/or consulting projects of the firm
- Research on the best practices in sustainability and environmental law in Africa.
- Supporting research work to the Managing Partner on a case-by-case basis.
- Attending land and court registries as assigned.
- Writing articles for the firm’s LinkedIn and blog posts.
- Creating various webinar-style trainings on diverse legal and policy issues.
- Various administrative functions as delegated by the Managing Partner.
- Any other duties assigned to the pupil
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Completed Kenya School of Law course work and examinations.
- Demonstrated interest and experience in environmental law, Climate Change,Sustainability,or a related field.
- Willingness and keenness to learn.
Skillset
- Strong understanding of conservation / sustainability principles and legal concepts.
- Excellent legal research and writing
